Details
Beyond fertility. Beyond menstruation. Beyond menopause. The definitive functional hormone series!
You already know the labs. You get the difference between conventional and ideal targets. HPO axis mechanisms- tick! And then those complex cases walk in... the ones where the labs don't match the presentation, where standard protocols don't cut it...
This series is designed for practitioners ready to go deeper: advanced endocrinology, nuanced case reasoning, and the evidence gaps most clinical education ignores.
You'll examine the complex, systemic, multifaceted roles of the key female sex hormones: oestrogens, progestogens and androgens; and get to know them like you never have before.

"If you've between on this journey with me, you know we've covered hormone & fertility fundamentals and all the big reproductive conditions. Now it's time to go deeper; to bring it all together with a whole-person perspective; to move to a place where every patient, every system and every condition can be viewed and addressed by considering endocrinological drivers & hormone fine-tuning. Because I believe that sex hormones are more than just that- they affect system, every condition and every symptom. You cannot silo medical specialities and get real-world results. Whether you're treating the gut, the musculoskeletal system, cardiovascular system, thyroid dysfunction, stress, mood disorders, allergies..... if you're not considering endocrinology, you're not addressing the whole picture. Knowing how, why and what to do about it allows us to achieve the best outcomes for every patient, no matter what the presentation." Rhiannon

Acknowledging the lack of evidence in female healthcare is essential.
This is where clinical expertise and refined skill allow us to be confident in our practices & really help our patients.

This isn't an introduction: it's a recalibration.
Across this series, we'll work through the clinical grey zones: cases that don't fit the textbook and the reasoning frameworks that separate competent practitioners from exceptional ones.
If you're ready to practice utilising cutting edge evidence, recognising gaps in the literature, where clinical experience and results really count, and where real professional confidence & patient results are found... this is for you!
Live Dates
6- 8 pm, Thursday 24th September
6- 8 pm Thursday 22nd October
6- 8 pm Thursday 19th November
All available live with ongoing on demand access.
Three hormones, three sessions!
✔️ Androgens
✔️ Oestrogens
✔️ Progestogens
Join Rhiannon for three, 2-hour investigations into the nuance of clinical considerations for each of our favourite sex hormones.
What Each Session Includes
In-depth clinical session with one each focused on systemic considerations for each of the major sex hormone groups: androgens, oestrogens and progestogens.
Tools designed for immediate & easy clinical application.
Case studies and clinical data illustrating real-world complexity.
Clinical and testing considerations for atypical presentations.

September
The most under-estimated hormones in female physiology...
Androgens in women & AFABs get two clinical stories: PMOS-excess, or sometimes a nod in menopause.
These are oversimplified and don't do them justice.
Androgens are frequently blamed, rarely thoroughly assessed, or optimised with nuance.
We'll cover the good, the bad, the ugly... and the beautiful!
Some of what we'll cover:
Nuanced testosterone, DHEAs, androstenedione & DHT assessment
Hormone pathways and identification & management of barriers
Roles beyond reproduction including energy, muscle mass, cognition & mood
Complex relationship with stress & adrenals
Dramatic behaviour shifts across the lifespan: often invisible, until patients present with Sx nobody's connected to androgen status
Clinical optimisation beyond reproduction.
Rapidly evolving field of androgen replacement therapy in AFABs
Considerations for clinical specificity
What we WON'T cover*:
Routine assessment of testosterone, DHEAs, androstenedione with optimal reference ranges
Roles in reproduction & libido
Hyperandrogenism in PMOS
Peri/menopause patterns
Routine clinical management
*Included in preexisting webinars/masterclasses: see packages below.

October
Everyone knows the fundamentals of oestrogen...
But is it actually the most misunderstood sex hormone in the room?
What's actually driving an oestrogen picture? HPO axis signalling, steroidogenesis, aromatase, SHBG, phase 1 & 2 detox, the balance between 2-, 4-, and 16-hydroxylation pathways, receptor sensitivity...?
It's not an exaggeration to say understanding this dynamic hormone is key to optimising female health outcomes.
Some of what we'll cover:
Nuanced assessment of production, bioavailability & detoxification
When & how to use SNPs & urinary metabolites
Bidirectional relationship with methylation & histamine
Impacts of hormone contraceptives, including lab interpretation & clinical support for OCP & IUDs
Complex relationship with neurotransmitters & brain function across the lifespan
Early red flags for long-term, preventable, oestrogen-related diseases
Metabolism, weight & cholesterol
Inflammation, histamine & immune modulation
Skin & collagen
What we WON'T cover*:
Routine assessments with optimal reference ranges
Roles in ovulation, reproduction & menstrual cyce symptoms
Management in endometriosis, adenomyosis, fibroids, etc
Patterns & use in peri/menopause
Routine clinical management
*Included in preexisting webinars/masterclasses: see packages below.

November
Progestogens are commonly oversimplified...
Too commonly dismissed as friend or foe, they're actually are complex, multifaceted, and important to get right.
Progesterone gets reduced to "the calming hormone" or "oestrogen's antagonist”, but both framings reduce it’s complexity and nuance.
Progestins are not inherently evil. Progesterone is not always beneficial.
The least consistent hormone family, both in concentration and reactivity.
Some of what we'll cover:
Specific actions across the lifespan, beyond reproduction & menstrual cycle symptoms
Receptor sensitivity, actions & optimisation
Impacts of hormone contraceptives, including lab interpretation & clinical support for OCP & IUDs
Differentiation of progestins, review of safety & clinical indications
Use of exogenous micronised progesterone outside of peri/menopause
The little-understood relative progesterone EXCESS
Complex relationship with neurotransmitters & brain function across the lifespan
Relationship to inflammation, histamine & immune modulation
Role in musculoskeletal disorders
What we WON'T cover*:
Routine assessments with optimal ranges
Roles in ovulation, reproduction & menstrual cyce symptoms
Contribution to endometriosis, adenomyosis
Patterns & use in peri/menopause
Routine clinical management
*Included in preexisting webinars/masterclasses: see packages below.

About your presenter

Rhiannon is a highly regarded clinical educator and one of Australia's leading experts in reproductive and hormonal health. She has been working in hormonal and reproductive health for over 20 years, focusing largely on complex infertility, pregnancy, postpartum health, perimenopause and healthy aging.
With the added advantage of having worked with many of her patients long-term, Rhiannon has tracked countless individual's hormone and general pathology markers over many years, bringing a unique insight into the specific trajectories and patterns seen through all stages of the reproductive and menopausal life span.
This nuance of hormone patterns and change in many circumstances is routinely overlooked in both functional and conventional practitioner education, and like all things with female health, has been radically under-researched.
Rhiannon brings a wealth of experience of both functional and conventional interventions too both her everyday practice and practitioner training, and is always striving to provide accessible, practical, but in depth education in this field, with the ultimate aim of supporting practitioners to become the best clinicians they can, to feel confident and content in their practice, and to be able to go on and help many individual patients.
